How this page works

Help card guidance

A repeatable process to move from disagreement to a final shared decision.

5 min read|Updated March 2026

Decision workflow

  1. Move from longlist to 6 finalists.
  2. Use Compare for side-by-side tradeoffs.
  3. Run Tournament twice, one run each partner.
  4. Take top 2 into the Decision Ceremony.
  5. Record the final pick and archive runner-up notes.

Confirm the decision is ready

Move forward when the finalists meet the shared criteria, both partners have had a clear vote, and the top choice still feels acceptable after a pause. A runner-up note keeps the process reversible without reopening every candidate.

If you cannot reach agreement

  • Pause the decision instead of forcing another vote immediately.
  • Return to the shared criteria and remove names that fail a true non-negotiable.
  • Use bridge names or a later conversation rather than reopening the full longlist.
  • Read the Decision Ceremony guide when two finalists remain.
